These two mandates are not in competition. They are two dimensions of a single calling. Blue Ocean exists at the intersection of both.
You Were Made for More Than a Pew
Every Christian is called to minister. Not just pastors. Not just full-time missionaries. Every believer.

Self-Supporting
Funding ministry independently — following the model of the tentmaker, working and serving simultaneously.
e.g. A software engineer who works full-time and leads a weekly discipleship group in his home.
Professional
Using a professional field as a platform for ministry — the profession itself becomes the mission field.
e.g. A journalist who covers stories with integrity and brings a Kingdom perspective to the media.
None of these modes is more spiritual than the others.
The question is not whether you are called. The question is how your calling is shaped — and whether you are ready to live it out.

Every society is shaped by eight spheres of influence. We call them the Eight Mind Molders — the terrain where Kingdom-building happens.

Weekly services and a monthly united online service for our global community.
Prayer
Weekly intercessory prayer for the world, our communities, and our mission.
Discipleship
Grounded in the Word, formed in mission, discerned in community.
Mission
Outreach, training, and engagement — because faith without action is not the faith we are called to.

This Generation Was Not Made to Sit on the Sidelines
Blue Ocean exists for the generation that is tired of passive faith — that senses a calling bigger than Sunday morning and does not yet know what to do with it.
We are building disciples who pray and act. Who worship and work. Who take their faith into their profession, their campus, their community, and their city — and refuse to leave it at the door.
This is not easy. It was never meant to be. But it is the life every believer was made for.
Before You Reach Out
Is Blue Ocean a denomination?
No. Blue Ocean is an interdenominational movement, rooted in historic evangelical Christian faith. We welcome believers from every denominational background who share a commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the Great Commission.
Do I have to leave my church?
No. If you already have a church, stay. Bring what you learn back to your community — your local church is part of the mission field, not an obstacle to it.
Do I need to attend a Blue Ocean ANC?
No. Blue Ocean ANC is the church home of the movement, but you do not need to attend one to be part of what we are building.
There is no chapter near me. Can I still join?
Yes. Our online ministries — nurturing, discipleship, worship, and intercessory prayer — are open to participants wherever you are.
Our church works with young adults. Can we partner?
Yes. Partnership may include shared worship gatherings, collaborative training, and joint mission initiatives, open across denominational lines. Every partnership is shaped by the people involved — write to us and we can explore it together.
