Who We Are

A Movement,
Not an Institution

Blue Ocean is a decentralized, interdenominational Christian movement. We exist to educate, train, and connect believers to live as disciples of Christ — comprehensively equipped to fulfill their God-given calling and transform society from the inside out.

We are not a denomination. We are not a single church. We are a growing global community of Christians who believe that following Jesus is inseparable from engaging the world — and that this generation has a unique role to play in building His Kingdom here and now.

Blue Ocean gatherings, communities, and campus chapters exist across multiple countries. Our movement finds its ecclesiological home in Blue Ocean ANC — a network of local churches that carry the Blue Ocean mission and vision. But you do not need to attend a Blue Ocean ANC to be part of what we are building.

Our Mission

To carry out the missional and cultural mandate to build the Kingdom of God — in every aspect of society, across every nation.

Our Vision

To educate, train, and connect Christians to live as disciples of Christ, equipping each one to fulfill their God-given role and bring transformation to the world around them.

Every Believer

You Were Made for More Than a Pew

At the heart of Blue Ocean is a simple conviction: every Christian is called to minister. Not just pastors. Not just full-time missionaries. Every believer.

We recognize three ways this calling is lived out:

Full-Time

Solely dedicated to ministry and mission work — giving everything to the calling without division.

Self-Supporting

Funding ministry independently through other means — following the model of the tentmaker, working and serving simultaneously.

Professional

Using a professional field as a platform for ministry — bringing Kingdom values into every sector of society.

Whichever describes you, your calling is real. Your role matters. And Blue Ocean exists to help you find it, develop it, and live it out.

Society

Every Corner of Society Is Mission Territory

We believe Christians are called to every corner of society — not to escape the world, but to engage it with purpose, integrity, and faith. That means every field. Every profession. Every sphere.

These are not secular spaces to be avoided. They are the very terrain where the Kingdom of God is built — one faithful disciple at a time.

Blue Ocean is expressed differently depending on where you are. What holds us together is not a program or a structure — it is a shared calling and a common faith.

Weekly worship services and a monthly united online worship service that gathers our global community together.

Prayer

Weekly intercessory prayer — bringing the needs of the world, our communities, and our mission before God.

Formation

Nurturing and discipleship that takes seriously both the cost and the joy of following Christ.

Mission

Outreach, training, and engagement with the world — because faith without action is not the faith we are called to.

Rooted in Historic Christian Faith

Blue Ocean is rooted in historic evangelical Christian faith. We welcome believers from every denominational background who share a commitment to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and the Great Commission.

For This Generation

This Generation Was Not Made to Sit on the Sidelines

Blue Ocean exists for the generation that is tired of passive faith — that senses a calling bigger than Sunday morning and does not yet know what to do with it.

We are building disciples who pray and act. Who worship and work. Who take their faith into their profession, their campus, their community, and their city — and refuse to leave it at the door.

This is not easy. It was never meant to be. But it is the life every believer was made for.
