Blue Ocean is a global movement of university students and young adults who are dedicated to serving Jesus Christ through their profession and field of expertise. This movement began in 2012 by a small number of young adults in Vancouver, Canada, desperately praying for the revival of Vancouver with the desire to see young generations of God rising up. Our goal is to disciple young adults to pursue their calling as ministers, missionaries, or specialized ministers who are called to advance the Kingdom of God through their profession.
All Nations Church is the church with the vision of Blue Ocean. We are called by God to worship Him and to grow into the fullness of Christ. With the same vision of Blue Ocean, we gather to immerse into the presence of God and we scatter into the world as salt and light.
We are called as ambassadors of the Kingdom of God. We are called as the salt and the light of the world. We are called to serve and to build His Kingdom with our talents and gifts. Each individual is called into different areas of the world which includes Government, Business, Science, Media, Arts & Entertainment, Education, Religion and Family. We are to raise each individual of THIS generation as ministers of each expertise.
1. Make Disciples of All Nations
And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20, ESV)
We are dedicated to fulfill the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ. Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world by proclaiming the good news of God’s grace and challenging young Christians to turn back from a self-centered life and surrender their lives under the Lordship of Jesus Christ and become His true followers.
2. 8 Mind Molders and Specialized Ministers
But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light. (1 Peter 2:9, ESV)
8 Mind Molders is the 8 main essential components that constitute a nation. These include Government, Economy, Education, Media, Arts and Entertainment, Religion, Science, and Family.
God has called all Christians to influence such areas with biblical principles and establish the Kingdom of God based on His characteristics. We ought to respond His calling and work in areas God has called us according to our unique gifts and talents through our Christ-like influence and expertise.
3. Developing Next Generation Leaders
And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.”(Genesis 1:28)
We need Christian leaders in all areas of 8 Mind Molders who can transform the world with Father’s love and the truth. Developing next generation leaders who serve the Lord with fear, are equipped with knowledge of God and professional skills, and who don’t compromise the truth with worldly values are one of very important missions of Blue Ocean Movement.
